RECENT WORK SAMPLES - WORDPRESS
Institute for Scientific Analysis: The project was to update a research organization's 10 year old site. I was the sole project manager, designer and builder of the site redesign. The site uses WordPress, customized templates, and a series of plugins to manage its content, including WP-Table Reloaded for Publications. I also provided documentation and site management training.
BayNet - San Francisco Bay Area Library and Information Network: The static site was rebuilt to run dynamically on WordPress. I did all the project planning, user assessment, re-design, development, rollout, and marketing. To simplfy and automate routine site maintenance, I implemented custom PHP and plugins. To help promote Bay Area libraries and programs, I installed social media tools, e.g. RSS, Flickr and YouTube. I am the site's current editor and webmaster.
Friends of The Cerrito Theater: I built their original site in 2002 and recently migrated the pages to WordPress. I customized a generic theme design, designed a new header, imported a Flickr feed and YouTube videos, and inserted a social network widget. I am a member of the theater's steering committee.
Telling Narratives: A photography and multimedia portfolio of an university professor. I designed the minimalist WordPress theme to emphasize the images. The PHP code was customized to use categories for sub-navigation. Soundsides was used to create the image collections embedded in the portfolio.
